Kardashian Style Smoky Eye, Nude Lip & Contour

The world is Kardashian mad and I've finally caught up so go easy on me!

For a recent 21st I recreated the classic Kardashian smokey eye and nude lip combo with a super contour and highlight. I actually really loved the look and got a lot of compliments!
I'm not usually a nude lip kind of girl as my lips are naturally very red, but I found this was easily resolved by concealing my lips first and choosing a glossy nude with a peachy undertone. It seems there is a nude for everyone!

♡  Eyes

For my eyes, I used a peach concealer as a base. Then, I use my Bad Gal chubby pencil eyeliner and fill in the outer V of my eyes. This will look really harsh so I pat it out with my ring finger and then use my fluffy brush to blend the eyeliner to remove any harsh lines. Make sure you sharpen your eyeliner before using it to ensure a precise application and remove bacteria.

Now that my eye base is perfected, I pat "Shimmer Down" all over my lid. It is a beautiful light shimmery brown from Benefits Groovy Kind of Love makeup kit which I have reviewed here. Using a fluffy pencil brush, I pat "Kiss Me I'm Tipsy" in the outer V of my eye, to create depth. I think this is possibly my favourite shade of brown eyeshadow ever. It has the depth and pigment of a black shadow but still has the warmth of a brown tone. I blend this shadow into "Shimmer Down" to remove any harsh lines. I bring "Kiss Me I'm Tipsy" down to my bottom lid to line it.

To finish, I line my eyes with Essence Eyeliner Pen Waterproof in 01 Deep Black. I then apply two lashings of Benefit "They're Real" mascara. The wand on this mascara is fabulous and is really effective in separating lashes to avoid clumps. Unfortunately, for the first few weeks of use the product can be a little wet, creating messy application and clumps.
I line my bottom lid with Rimmel's Soft Khol Kajal Eyeliner in 061 Jet Black. On my brow bone, I use my favourite highlight from such a cheapo little palette! It is, of course, the Essence All About Sunrise palette.I also apply this in the inner corners of my eyes and apply thick false lashes to finish the eye look. I have Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set 01 in Natural Brunette Style on my brows.

♡  Face

On my face, I have used my Estée Lauder's Double Wear oil free Stay-in-Place foundation in 2W Rattan and my favourite concealer, Catrice's Camouflage Cream. Under my eyes I used Kiko's Natural Concealer in Shade 01 and a peach tone from my 20 shade concealer palette (review here).
To contour, I apply Essence Soft Touch Mousse Makeup in 03 Matt Honey under my cheekbones, on my temples and down the side of my nose. I blend this out with my Real Techniques stippling brush to remove any harsh lines.

I dust Collection 2000 Sheer Loose Powder in Translucent on my T-zone and apply Bobbi Brown Blush in Pale Pink and go over my contour with Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder for Blondes. To create the super highlighted Kim Kardashian look, I brush on a healthy amount of Topshop's Glow highlighter in Polished on my cheekbones, around the arch of my brows, down the centre of the nose and on my cupids bow. To up the glow, I go on to apply Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl highlighter in all the same places. Extra oomph!

♡  Lips

As I mentioned earlier, I had to conceal my lips with Catrice's Camouflage Cream in 020 to hide the natural red tones of my lips. I use the Sleek Makeup Lip4 Lipstick palette (Ballet) on my lips, applying the glossy shade, Plié (top left).

Aaaand voila!

I hope you like the look and if you try to recreate it, please share the pics!

  3. You look gorgeous, I love how you've done your make-up :) my nude lipstick never stay on more than five minutes so I may try putting concealer on first to neutralise the redness of my lips as well.
Benefit They're Real is such a good mascara as well, I swear by it :)
