Review: Inglot Blue "Colour Play" Lip Paint #94

I always post so much more around payday, because I have so much more stuff and today is no exception!
Today's post is a review on the fab blue lippy I'm wearing above. Obviously, not for the faint-hearted but just remember, there was a time when purple/berry lipsticks were "only for goths" and now everyone wears them, so don't hate on the blue just yet! Read on for more!

The lip paint is part of the new "Colour Play" range in Inglot and is shade #94. I bought mine individually, seperate from the palette and therefore part of the Freedom System. To buy it individually will set you back just €6!
Other colours in the range include yellow, white, lilac, green and teal but if you prefer to stick to traditional colours they also have two shades of pink and a coral.

Inglot say "these highly pigmented shades have a rich, creamy texture which is long lasting" and they aren't lying! The pigmentation is fab and is true to its appearance in its tin. I love Inglot's lip paints as I feel lip paints are creamier and more moisturising than lipsticks. The colours in this range are pretty hard to find on this side of the pond so I was delighted to see them in store rather than having to pay a bomb for postage and packaging from a foreign brand. It is very reminiscent of Lime Crime's No She Didn't which is originally what I was going to buy. The lipstick is long lasting and doesn't seem to bleed either (thank the heavens). However, I found that eatingand kissing wipe a good deal of it off. There will still be product on your lips and it will be recognisable as blue but it will not have the same bold pigmentation. On these occasions I would reapply the lip paint but this dried my lips so you would be better off just taking it all off, putting some lip balm on and then applying the blue lippy. This is the only fault I can give the product!
It has an artificial blueberry smell and taste which I like.

(Excuse the wonky looking eyeliner on the left, it was definitely NOT like that in person!)

I wore this bold tone with a clean eye. I used white all over the lid and up to my brow and contoured using Benefit's "Gilt-y Pleasure" as it is similar to my skin tone with a bit of shimmer added for extra pzaz! To make the eye look less boring I did a double eyeliner wing, which is great for people who want to open up there eyes and give the appearance of thicker, longer lashes. The lip paint was applied with a brush which is also by Inglot but bought separately.
Alternatively,  you could go for a silvery-grey smoky eye or brown neutral tones.

What do you think? Would you buy or wear such a bold colour?
